This Privacy Policy applies whether you access Dukante as a Customer, Vendor, or Service Provider.

§ 04

Device, Technical & Usage Information

To maintain the security, stability, and performance of the Platform, Dukante may automatically collect certain technical information when you use the App. This information helps us identify technical issues, improve compatibility across devices, enhance user experience, and protect the Platform from misuse.

Most of this information is collected automatically through your device and operating system. It generally does not directly identify you as an individual but may be associated with your account when necessary to provide our services.

Listen through your microphone without permission.
Read your SMS messages unless required for OTP verification through your device's standard process.
Access personal files unrelated to Dukante.
Monitor your activity outside the Dukante Platform.

§ 05

Location Information

Dukante is a hyperlocal discovery platform. Location information allows Customers to discover nearby Vendors and Service Providers while enabling businesses to appear in relevant local search results.

Location access is requested only to provide location-based features and improve search accuracy.

Standard — Depending on your device settings and permissions, we may collect

You can disable Location Permission at any time through your device settings. However, some location-based features may not function as intended.

Continuously track your location in the background without permission.
Sell your location information.
Share precise location data with unrelated third parties for advertising purposes.
Track your movements outside the Platform.

§ 06

Photos, Camera & Uploaded Content

Certain features of Dukante require users to upload images or use the device camera. Vendors and Service Providers may upload business-related images, while Customers may upload profile pictures or other content where permitted.

Camera and media access is requested only when required for specific Platform features.

This content helps us display business listings, improve customer experience, enable product discovery, support advertisements, verify certain Platform activities, and improve listing quality. Users remain responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights and permissions to upload any content.

Prohibited — Users must not upload

Copyright-protected material without authorization.
Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
Violent or graphic images.
Hate speech.
Illegal content.
Misleading product images.
Fake business photographs.
Images containing malware or harmful files.
Content violating applicable laws or intellectual property rights.

Dukante reserves the right to remove content that violates this Privacy Policy, the Terms & Conditions, or applicable law.

Permissions We Request

To provide certain features, Dukante may request access to specific device permissions. You may choose whether to grant or deny these permissions. Denying a permission may limit the functionality of related features but will not prevent you from using other parts of the Platform unless the permission is essential.

Used to show nearby Vendors and Service Providers, improve local search accuracy, and display nearby offers.

Camera Permission

Used to capture business images, upload product images, scan or verify QR codes, and update profile pictures.

Photos & Media Permission

Used to select existing images, upload product photos, business photos, advertisements, and promotional banners.

Notification Permission

Used to send account notifications, offer updates, sponsored listing updates, QR verification updates, Platform announcements, security alerts, and customer support notifications.

Prohibited — Dukante does not request permissions to

Access your contacts without a valid feature requiring it.
Read your personal documents unrelated to Dukante.
Modify files outside Dukante's functionality.
Activate your camera or gallery without your action.
Use granted permissions for purposes unrelated to the services provided by Dukante.

How We Use Your Information

Dukante uses your information only for legitimate business purposes and to provide, maintain, improve, and secure the Platform. The information we collect helps us deliver a personalized, reliable, and efficient experience for Customers, Vendors, and Service Providers.

We process your information only where necessary to operate the Platform, fulfill our contractual obligations, comply with applicable laws, protect our legitimate interests, or where you have provided your consent.

Personalize your Platform experience.

Communication

We may contact you regarding account verification, security alerts, login notifications, customer support, service announcements, policy updates, and important Platform changes.

Platform Improvement

We use information to improve App performance, search accuracy, user experience, analyze feature usage, develop new features, resolve technical issues, and monitor Platform performance.

Security & Fraud Prevention

We may use information to detect fraudulent activities, prevent unauthorized access, investigate suspicious behavior, protect user accounts, enforce our Terms & Conditions, and maintain Platform integrity.

Prohibited — Dukante does not use your information to

Certain Vendor and Service Provider information is intended to be publicly visible, including business name, logo, images, products, services, offers, advertisements, sponsored listings, business location, business hours, contact information (where chosen to be displayed), customer reviews, and ratings.

We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the Platform, including providers of cloud hosting, data storage, analytics, push notifications, authentication services, customer support tools, and technical infrastructure. These providers may process information only on our behalf and only for the services they provide to Dukante.

Business Transfers

Notification providers help us send OTPs, account alerts, security notifications, promotional notifications (where applicable), and important service announcements.

Prohibited — Third-party service providers engaged by Dukante are not authorized to

Dukante is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites, applications, or services that operate independently of the Platform. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of those third parties before providing personal information.

Dukante is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your information. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.

While we strive to maintain a secure Platform, no method of electronic transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. Therefore, although we take appropriate security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users also play an important role in protecting their accounts by keeping their devices secure and avoiding unauthorized access.

Be responsible for passwords, OTPs, or verification codes shared by users with others.
Be liable for unauthorized access resulting from user negligence, phishing attacks, malware, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Users should never share OTPs, verification codes, or account credentials with anyone claiming to represent Dukante unless the communication is through an officially verified channel.

Data Retention

Dukante retains personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms & Conditions, and protect our legitimate business interests.

The retention period may vary depending on the type of information collected and the purpose for which it was obtained. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.

You may enable or disable Location, Camera, Photo & Media, and Notifications through your device settings. Disabling certain permissions may limit the availability of some Platform features.

Communication Preferences

Where applicable, you may choose to receive or stop promotional notifications, update notification preferences, and manage communication settings available within the Platform. Important security notifications and legal notices may still be sent when necessary.

Contact Us

You may contact Dukante to ask privacy-related questions, report suspected misuse of your information, request correction of inaccurate information, submit data-related requests, or raise privacy concerns. We will make reasonable efforts to respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to applicable laws and verification requirements.

Prohibited — Your rights do not include requests that would

Compromise Platform security.

Require disclosure of information that Dukante is legally prohibited from sharing.

Dukante may refuse or limit requests where permitted by applicable law, including requests that are repetitive, excessive, fraudulent, or technically impractical.

§ 14

Account Deletion

Dukante respects your right to discontinue using the Platform and request the deletion of your account. If you no longer wish to use Dukante, you may request the deletion of your account through the available account settings or by contacting our support team.

Deleting your account will permanently disable access to your Dukante profile. However, certain information may continue to be retained where required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes, including fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and security.

Please note that deleting your account does not automatically remove information that has already been made publicly available by you, such as reviews, ratings, or business listings, unless applicable laws require otherwise or Dukante determines that such removal is appropriate.

Submitting a verified account deletion request.

Once your request is verified, Dukante may disable your account, remove your personal profile information, delete information that is no longer required, stop future processing of your personal information (except where legally permitted or required), and remove access to Platform features associated with your account.

Certain information may continue to be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security investigations, resolving disputes, enforcing our Terms & Conditions, financial or accounting record requirements (where applicable), and internal audit purposes.

Prohibited — Account deletion does not require Dukante to

Delete information that must be retained under applicable law.
Remove records required for fraud prevention or security.
Delete information necessary to resolve ongoing disputes.
Remove reviews or ratings where retention is legally permitted.
Restore an account after permanent deletion, unless technically possible and permitted by Dukante.

Users should ensure that any important information is saved before requesting account deletion.

Children's Privacy

Dukante is intended for use by individuals who are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law. The Platform is not intended for children under the age of 18 years, unless they are using the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, where permitted by applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable privacy laws. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child without the necessary authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as practicable.

Parents or legal guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information through Dukante may contact us to request review or deletion of such information.

If Dukante determines that an account has been created in violation of this section, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove the account.

When material changes are made, we may notify users through the Platform, email, push notifications, or other appropriate communication channels, where required by applicable law.

The updated Privacy Policy will become effective from the Effective Date mentioned at the top of the revised document. Your continued use of the Platform after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Privacy Policy.
